I have never been able to leave a broken system alone.
I'm Melissa Baton, a real estate marketing consultant and the founder of Prosperity Hive. I build the CRM, automation, website, and tracking systems behind independent agents. Not the content. The machine underneath it.
Where this started
A pharmacy tech who could not stop optimizing things
I grew up in a small town in Germany, in a practical, down to earth household. College was not the expected path, so I trained as a pharmaceutical technician and worked in that field for a few years. At nineteen, I took a gap year and became an au pair in Annapolis, Maryland. That year changed the direction of my life. I came home wanting more than what felt available to me, so I went to college and studied international marketing, including a semester in southern Spain. I never stopped optimizing things after that. It just took me a while to find the right outlet for it.
Two corporate careers before real estate
Seven years inside systems most people never see
In 2018 I joined Tradebyte Software, a Zalando subsidiary connecting more than a thousand fashion brands to marketplaces across Europe. I started as a working student and had my own clients within six months. I kept noticing the same problem everywhere: systems that worked against people instead of for them, with manual cleanup standing in for real reporting. So I moved away from account management and into owning Salesforce Sales Cloud for Tradebyte's largest division, effectively functioning as product manager for that platform. I redesigned the sales funnel, led the business side of a Salesforce CPQ integration, and trained teams to actually use what we built.
In 2023 I moved to Bosch, where I owned the global website for Bosch Car Service, one of the largest independent workshop networks in the world. I was responsible for the product itself: structure, function, technical SEO, and schema markup, while local teams owned content in each market.
Why real estate
The same instinct, a smaller room, and a bigger problem to fix
I moved to the United States in 2024. While I waited on my work permit, I started helping a realtor friend with her social media for a small fee. I expected to do that until I found another corporate role. Instead, the same instinct kicked back in. I wrote her a strategy paper, built her brand kit, and built her a website that actually ranks instead of another templated copy of Zillow.
Filming a listing and posting about it twice was never the lever that moved her business. The system underneath it was.
So I stopped offering content production and started building infrastructure instead: where leads come from, where they go, and whether anyone follows up. Confidence has not always come easily to me, and I still work through anxiety more than I would like to admit. Building systems that work whether or not I am having a good day is part of why I do this work the way I do.
What Prosperity Hive does
Marketing infrastructure, not a marketing agency
Prosperity Hive builds the marketing infrastructure behind independent agents and small teams: CRM setup, lead capture, automation, website and technical SEO, tracking, and reporting. Every system is brokerage-agnostic and fully documented, so you own it and can run it without me.
See exactly what that build looked like.

Who I work with
Fit matters more than budget
As a real estate marketing consultant, I work best with agents closing ten to twenty deals a year who are established but disorganized, already doing some marketing, but with nothing connected. I work with agents nationwide, fully remote, regardless of brokerage. This is not an overnight fix. It works best for agents ready to invest, stay patient through the build, and trust the process instead of expecting leads in the first week.
